Default Re: SV400 Dead...temporarily

This morning I went to the bike to fit a regulator that came with some parts when I bought the bike. Just out of curisosity if tested the reading of the battery with the current regulator on and it was 13-14 vaults which I thought was normal. I left the bike running for ten minutes just to make sure it wasn't just a quick one off and so I started to put the bike back together. After I had started I looked at the meter and it was reading 12volts agian with the engine running. I then put the other regulator on and got a reading of 14 vaults and when I reved the bike to 5000rpm it dropped to 13 volts. This isn't right is it?

So I put the old regulator back on and tested it which read 14volts with the engine running. What the heck is going on? Is it an intermitternt fault which could result in the bike braking down again if so its time for a brand new regulator yeah?

Cheers Rob
