As already said, use wax based shampoo.
Fairy liquid gets great results on dishes but ends up corroding the poor quality bolts on the sv. I just wipe mine down with household furniture polish after a good wash, seems to keep the flies off it. |

the trick is a microfibre cloth. leaves no marks at all
