There will be fuel in Thurso, theres a few places there. If worried about opening times on a Sunday then fuel up when you arrive Saturday night Its 140 miles to Ullapool, fuel there and its only 116 miles to Loch Carron via Applecross so should be ok there as well

Dizzy, I have stayed in Torridon and Tongue.
Both times in youth hostels, you got a card? One at Tongue is ok, bit far to walk if you fancy the pub etc, I got my mate to take me pillion last time, and the fuel is very expensive in Tongue.

Torridon is nice from what I can remember, there is a pub, and a village hall where they do local/traditional music some nights if thats you're kind of thing.

Give me a text/pm if you need anything, i.e a tent?

I started aiming at this weekend, but I don't know if everything works out.
Was supposed to go solo but won't mind company.

That was my initial thought, the average tank range should get me through this like you say.

Might tweak the last day to look something like this.
Let's just hope the 'prilia doesn't go all Italian on me

You may want to delay a week, forecast for Saturday is not very good

Might tweak the last day to look something like this....[/QUOTE]
Nice route and no real worry about a fuel stop

It's Caithness!!......it's not that uncivilized up there! Dyz - you'll be fine! Have a great time. Berriedale Braes are pretty cool. In the old days, really long lorries used to take about ten minutes to shunt about to get around them. Look out for stunning beaches along the north coast. Gorgeous!
