When I was in the Regiment at Benson, there was a lad in our squadron who was born whilst I was serving in germany on my second tour in the RAF.

Hopefully this thread was posted tongue in cheek and apologies in advance if that was the case.................................

If not then we all need to put things in perspective - we at least have the chance to grow old, unlike some of those who have served in Afghanistan.

they say having kids keeps you young - Bri you had to prove that point over and over again didnt you.

I was feeling slightly ancient the other day. My daughter was looking at insurance for a car as she is 17 in january, then baby started shouting. It hit me like a truck, when baby is same age as daughter no 1 I will be 59 almost the same age as my mother is now.

Having 6 may keep me young but the Bank of Dad still sees far too many withdrawels.

Only two boys (22&24) still at home, and they are cheaper to keep than those who've flown the nest. - love 'em all to bits though!

Seriously? I don't think it's necessary to have a go at someone for feeling old, because some people are dead. There is no correlation.

Cheaper to keep? Heh, you're doing it wrong, you should be making profit out of it at their age
