Default Re: Think my clutch might be on the way out.

Is it dificult to get into neutral too? Easier to do when rolling to a stop than at rest?

I think I have the same issue (without the screetching), have adjusted the worm screw without sucess several times, I did find on an oil change once that the inner plate in the clutch basket has some small green rubber bands to keep it away from the housing, one of these had snapped and there was scouring to the basket so it had been dragging against this.

After replacing the first plate it resolved the problem but has re-appeared recently, so I could have snapped it again or its something else.

I'm going to try a new worm and cable or all new friction and clutch plates as they are at the wear limit now.

Good luck, let us know if you fix it.
