I don't put anything on mine either.
It's not like there super tight so they should always be easy to undo with a cold engine

FWIW I have always got my plugs from http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/ , always first class service, usually next day delivery, and generally competitive prices (no connection with them, satisfied customer).

It's not usually recommended to put anything on plug threads, but I've seen more than one instance where the threads have picked-up and it's been a pig to get them out, often it damages the head threads in the process. Consequently I do use anti-seize sparingly.

Copper grease in very small quantities is certainly fine in iron heads, I prefer to use aluminium anti-seize paste in alum heads but I have used copper in the past with no real undesirable effect. It is wise to thoroughly clean any old paste out of the threads before applying more and refitting used plugs, it tends to build up into hard crud otherwise.

NOTE - be very careful not to get any copper or alum paste anywhere near the centre electrode insulator, it's a very effective conductor and the plug won't spark.

I'd be interested to know what the wisdom of the Squid, YC and Spannerman et al is on this subject.

I personally use a high grade Aluminium based paste on plug threads, & your dead right, keep it away from the electrodes, & clean it off if replacing used plugs.

Cheers.
