Well done! I ride the bike to escape too, but sometimes I like to have company. The simple solution to that is when you want to be alone, don't invite her. As you have a baby, it's not like she will be able to come that often anyway unless you have very obliging grand-parents to hand. I understand completely what you say about riding carefully 'cos you have both you baby's parents on the bike, I'm the same.

Precisely the reason why I have a bike, although she often tells me to go out and enjoy myself. Her exact phrase is "On your bike". So I do
