Well, you can do it kinda "on the cheap". The most expensive costs will likely be shipping. You don't need, or probably want, a BMW as they are the expensive option and attract too much attention. And they're heavy & fiddly.

With a wild guesstimation you could do a rtw for circa £25k...incl buying all the kit. Get decent travel insurance. Or don't get any as thry'll try any trick to wealse out of paying if you're in the middle of nowhere with your ankle in plaster.

Sounds awesome, except the BMW bit. Gah. I'd like to see it done on something else. A guy did something on an R1 didn't he? Now that deserves respect.

There was an article on the BBC breakfast news a couple of months back, they were interviewing the wife of an old guy.....who happened to be on the phone from some far off country.....he'd been on a rideout for ten years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
