just had a look on the net and yes they were MP5's.
when the officer come over to the car he said that they have one of those calibrated speedo/video things in the car. i asked to see the calibration cert, he said its at the depot.. yes i know about the scamera van sitting at the lay-by, you can see that for miles though... oooohhh the car was a newish white 4x4 thing but not a land/range one. i saw them in my rear view as they followed me but what threw me off was the single orange beacon on top with a bar but the bar was black, i thought it was a motorway maintenance car.. boy was i wrong... me a jammy git, hhhmmmm we shall see, although he let me off with it, that will depend if it gets submitted to the proc. i have had this situation before albeit many many years ago. to be honest i think they were just board and wanted something to do (and show off there guns). what was a bit strange to me was the fact they left the nearside door open with guns in full view when patting me down. another thing i found really strange is they never asked my passenger (brother) anything, nor searched/checked the car. the whole experience was kinda cool to be honest, although there was a bit of banter it was mostly 'yes sir no sir' kinda stuff. |

they pulled me using the 'blues and two's'
they had probably just dropped off mr brown in north queensferry. you can always tell when brown pants is at home as the place surrounding the bridge is crawling with dodgy cars in lay-bys and joggers. lol |

Yeah, I do know that but certainly, they try NOT to get involved and tied up with silly things incase they are needed at the other side of the city on more pressing business! |

If it had an orange beacon on it, I'll bet my bottom dollar it was the airport car.
L&B ARV's use different vehicles and don't carry their weapons on their person routinely. Airport car is different though. |

+1 on it being airport plod. All vehicles required to drive on any airfield roads should have an amber flashing light.
