Dude if you can remake bottom clevis, that is cure for ZXR shock being too short for curvy!

304 stainless steel. Aluminium would have been better, but anodising takes too long & is too expensive for small quantity

This was easy to make & attach because it screws straight into the bottom of the shock and I still have 10mm of adjustment on the shock length.

I don't know if the ZXR shock would be feasable, depends how its attached

That looks like a nice fit, the reservoir is a lot lower than on a GSXR shock.

Just been for a quick ride around.

Set rear bike sag to 15mm and overall sag to 30mm without my kit on.(not in the buff I might add )

Felt nervous to start with, but it always does when I change something, me being too tense i expect.

I wound the compresion out 1 1/2 turns and set the rebound out 10 clicks. It felt quite choppy over dumps.

Then wound the rebound out 4 more clicks and it felt better.

then wound the compression out 1/2 a turn and just started to fell it squat a bit when powering out of bends.

wound the compression back in to 1 1/2 turns out and wound the rebound out another 4 clicks. I could fell the tyre bite alot better under power. It's still a bit choppy over short bumps at high speed.

The rear is alot more stable. There is a sweeping bend in front of Denby pottery, just a mile from where I live, that has been dug up in the past, in lines across the road at maybe four intervals around the bend. I took it a a fair pace to feel the suspension work whilst lent over. I didn't notice anything untoward from the rear because it seemed like the front that was struggling.

Over all very pleased with the rear shock for £38 and some machine time.
If I can find a 85kN spring to fit an Ohlins at the right price, then I will change it to see if it feels any smoother, but if I carn't, I'm not bothered.
It is a vast improvement over the original (but that opinion is only after a 30 min ride)
I need to check the settings on the front end now, I though the front end was about sorted with the emulators in them, but now the back isn't bogging down everywhere, they feel a little inadaquet.

Roll on some USD forks (off an Aprilla maybe )

some more picks when it's daylight (and I've washed it!)

Sounds like a bit of a result. It's good when someone try something different and it pays off. A bit more tweaking and it could feel even better.

The ride to work today was the test.

I ride the same road everyday so know it well, all the bumps, hollows and cambers.

The bike felt awsome

The bumps in the road have gone, I found myself riding over the bits I normally avoid, just to feel the shock working. A lot more stable in the corners with more feedback.

and to top it off, it looks the bussiness

as it came off a V-twin it fits perfectly, the shock fits lovely down the left side of the swing arm and the cannister fits about central to the tyre.
Looks like it was made for the bike

So, are we all looking for RSV shocks now? I've got to admit I was bidding on a Nitron shock a while back that I would have had to make the bottom clevis for. Unfortunately it went past my budget.
