I like singing over the Autocom knowing that inside his crash helmet my husband is wincing and wishing he'd put in better earplugs or could turn the whole system off.
Dogs going bonkers when you ride past them. Getting wolf whistled in my leather trousers. The smells of BBQs as you ride past people's gardens in summer. Leaving Lord's on the bike at the same time as Kevin Pietersen in his new Ferrari and knowing that I can not only beat him away from the lights, but I won't be stuck in the traffic all the way home like him. Getting to know loads of people I wouldn't normally have anything in common with because we share a passion for motorcycling. |

I've had some great cars - including a Lotus Elise .....and whilst the Lotus was just as enjoyable when yoou 'got it right' .....it was always killed when you turned a corner and saw a load of traffic!!
Pleasure, for me ...the freedom - freedom to go where I want, and to know that whatever the traffic - I'll be there quicker than any other mode of transport !! Quite often in London I'd avoid doing things 'fearing traffic' no more!! So whilst I enjoy the sensation of riding - I enjoy the bike as a very tool!! |

Filtering slowly and effortlessly past Mr Sales Poopoohead in his M3 cab and bluetooth headset, who you have been watching overtake people at 60 in a 40 limit, and undercutting people in his supreme bid to get to the backed up traffic and red light 5 cars ahead of what he would have done anyway.

TBH i enjoy very very little about riding on the road now, other than the social meet side of it , going to a pub meet etc.
I find road riding slow and frustrating now, not to mention i am constantly thinking about whats round the next corner and the surface etc. I prefer the track 100% more, can ride faster , its safer and more of a buzz. not to mention i can get rid of my urge to race all people i see lol. |

I like getting it leaned right over, seeing how far you are brave enough to do
The rush of power as the revs climb, induction screaming and a wail from the exhaust you can hear from miles off When my wife is on the back, that warm snuggly hug as she holds on to me. Not the same with a mate on though.. And every journey is a lesson, you learn something each and every time you ride |

I used to enjoy not crashing. I enjoyed that a lot.
I haven't rode properly since last crash, so that says a lot. |
