I've got a cheapy paddock stand and it has the same issues as yours.

However, after doing some servicing on the Bandit this weekend (1 of my damn center stand bolts has gone walkies???), and replacing an entire engine on my SV, it won't go anywhere

If your unsure, just bang a new bolt through it and put a nut on the other side to stop it sliding left/right.

I removed the silly springs from the swinging arm support, so just manually allign them to the swinging arm when putting the stand underneath.

Should be ok, so long as you don't put a kink in the tube. Steel has some inhierant flexibility

Hi. just used mine today. Was stable enough but not great quality. After using them one of the wheels fell off (well, the e clip did. luckily they come with spare ones). But overall good enough to work with.

About the front Stand: its kind of upside down with the forks sliding in between the two rubber bits. You'll notice the back of the SV's front fork has a lip about an inch up from the centre bolt (which holds the wheel on). This is what stops the stand sliding all the way up the forks. Ive attached a drawing (hopefully) to help explain.

Yep, Shoddy quality. I've cut some hose pipe and slid it over them. think it will make it last longer. Oh, what fun.
