they wouldn't send me an email with it :/ so now i cant get it taxed and because of the lazy greedy postmen I dont know when i'll get a certificate

As long as what you are trying to tax is insured and MOT'd then you dont need to go the post office to tax it. Might save you faffing about with cover notes etc etc..

Tried it says the insurance database hasnt been updated yet :@

Mine took a week for the database to be updated, but was told a maximum of a month,.

I was told that the MID usually update with my insurance company every Tuesday and Thursday so if im lucky tommorow it'll be on there database

I think the post office don't really like e-mailed documents. When I bought my bike my insurers e-mailed the cover note (as a .pdf) to the dealer, who kindly folded it into thirds so it looked like it'd been in an envelope.
