£90 + P&P - About as cheap as you'll get in the UK...

The post 2007 cylinders are just as bad, just that there's not enough people got to high enough mileages yet to show an overwhelming trend

They'll go at anywhere from 10,000m up, best to keep one handy, or, like me, do it pre-emptively and sell the stock one to someone who doesn't care about the known issue

On the SD it's more of a conundrum whether to do it pre-emptively or not, if your clutch goes I'd imagine you're likely to be in the UK? With my bike I'll be doing Germany and Morocco, possibly by April next year, which'll put the mileage well over 20,000 - I don't want to be switching cylinders in the atlas mountains using goat's blood for clutch fluid...

Normally that wouldn't bother me...

But when it comes from someone who really knows their cheap and nasty tat it's more serious...

well I have clocked up 1,000 mile so far on it, and that's not a lot of money, so when I lay the bike up for the "salt period" I may do that, I also plan a number of euro trips next year, did you buy it direct/ got a link ?

Cheers Mark.

now to choose colour......?, the orange does shout, look at me I'm a shiney bit, but it's nice, and like yours I've orange highlights on the bike which it'd pickup on.

Or do I go for something less "in your face"?

I'll think on it, but will order one.

Cheers Mark
