yea you have to change the whole thing for rear sets or summit which is expencive, they do look good polished to a alloy mirror

What are the two bolts for then plus the one at the end if they don't come off as it's one piece as you say. Can't see why you can't unscrew and replace them.

If you're looking at the right side footrest then the two bolts at the front of the heel plate hold the brake master cylinder on, and that's all.

Here's a photo of some I have kicking around my garage. - you'll see there's no way the heel plates can be detached

Shame, I wouldn't mind having a nicer looking heel plate like you get on some sports bikes, this is all just a large lump of metal, nothing refined about it, plus I have lots of scuff marks from my boots on the right one. Anyway, I like the idea of polishing them, see if there's a friend who is handy in doing things like, guess they need to come off and you need to polish them with some kind of machine?

nope, liamsimpsons is a curvey yours are like lozzos pic so all you can do is polish them, you can polish they my hand with autosol.
