One thing to watch is the rear brake....its a barstool to bleed, theres a bit of a knack, read that as a lot of a knack!.
Matts had his for two and a half years now, and its not honestly given him much trouble...just a whole load of fun.
Cheers dizzy,i'll let him know about the above, overall its just the kind of bike he's into, especially with the (low)riding position,it suits him as he has an artificial leg(lost his right leg in a biking accident around 12 years ago, what with me breaking my neck also in a biking accident many years back you could say we don't do owt by halves around here, lol). But alls well that ends well, makes you kinda come back even stronger

Thanks again

well what I will say is say how he goes with the seat then. Until Carnivore had his hip replaced he could never sit on a bike straight, hes worn a funny ridge down the middle(and no thats not because his ass was clenched tight cause of his riding )
. He had Tony Archer put a gel pad under the original covering, as it was a bit uncomfortable for him...the rear was more like sitting on a breeze block than the plank of wood at the front!

Ahem. Now it's a good bike that's for sure but don't talk b*llocks

Wheelbase on Vrap is longer. Rake angle is less steep AFAIK. Dry weights are 187kg for the TLS... pretty heavy huh? Especially compared to the 192kg of the 'rap! (steel frame vs alloy. etc.)

Handling is subjective. Though the TLS has a crap rear shock that doesn't work when new, none of the raptors get adjustable suspension either, compared to the KYB's on the front of the TL.

Not like the shock on the back of the raptor is anything to write home about either, non-adjustable, not normally rebuildable, emulsion type etc. At least the useless shock on TLS had some good theory behind it

(yes I have looked at these bikes a lot, but I'd still buy a TLS!)

17mm in it, that will be obvious. 5kg is also no piffling amount. Reason I argue is because you said the absolute opposite with your rose-tinted glasses on*

I think raptor is too low at back to handle good and needs some better forks for starters, like some GSXR750 showas. But then you lose the shiny brakes lol. But I have not ridden one. Will never be as cool as a TL

*Go buy one already...

There is a mod for the front forks. Something to do with R1's and internals. bleh..go ride one yourself, lol. Think you'll be insanely surprised..hmm needs to take my own advice and pinch this one while the going is good

Or maybe I'll just accidently trade the bus in for the Xtra....do you think P will notice?
