I hate British winters. Wet, cold, dark and miserable. But it seems like I'm stuck here so I bought a daylight lamp from Maplin - really effective, you sit next to it a few hours and occasionally park your face (eyes closed!!!) up to it, it's like sunbathing

Frost here too, damn cold. -5C, said Daryl the weatherman

You need heated seats in weather like this...

As well as heated front and rear screens
My car was iced over this morning when I left at 6, pressed the de-ice button and waited for the magic

Mine went sideways on the way into work, I got off to check because I thought I'd got a puncture in the rear tyre. Turned out I'd just hit a patch of ice - bowel loosening moment for sure!

I looked out of the bedroom window when I got up and could see a full white covering of frost all over South Glos, the bit of Avon we can see and all over South Wales that we can see. It's like a sea of white from our house and I love it.

Stay safe out there peeps x

I got up, walked to the car port (hence no frost), got in the car and drove the 45 miles to work laughing at all the cars struggling to look out of a 1foot hole at the bottom of the windscreen as they couldn't be bothered to wait!!!! Idiots!!!!

However, my sympathies to all riding bikes, was me this time last year and I don't fancy it again. Don't forget, an easier solution to cold hands than heated grips.....HG pathans. Brilliantly warm, tested them at -5 last year (god knows what the wind chill at 70mph would have been), but my hands were still warm.

Stay safe all.
