Hmmm thanks folks for the views.....he has not responded to my email from this morning. I have to say I've used ebay for some years now and have about 170 +ve feedback. I think I will remove my details from Paypal for the time being just in case he does decide to ask for a "forced" refund

Yes be careful, I had to investigate a case where a seller had a very expensive model train returned...only it wasnt a model train in the box, it was a water bottle filled with cat litter to be the EXACT same weight as the item sold so that when it was 'returned' the seller could claim that he had returned it, ask them to check the weight and get away with it, worst bit was that Paypal had already credited the buyer's account too, so the seller ended up with no money and no item!

someone complained they never got a book i sent, not recorded so it was my fault?!?!?! i removed my details and paypal have sent me an e-mail saying i have a month to return my account to balance zero or they will take me to court for £4.95, that was 2 months ago tho still not heard nothing else back so i dont use paypal anymore cash on collection only
