We're just taking tents, sleeping bags and a couple of gas stoves really, sorting some food from local supermarkets or the on-site catering.

Thanks. We're going from Dover to Calais only £33 return! Good times in the day too. Just need to decide on the route and travel times. Booked the ticket, only going on the race day.
Is there anywhere you've heard is a must see...other than the race that we can see during the travel down? I'm thinging of taking in the Somme Valey. Only because I don't have any better ideas yet! Never really spent much time in France so don't know what to look at or is worth seeing. Thinking of travelling across to France on Friday anf coming back to England the following Thursday.
