Is it right to take advantage of an error?

Would you sell the goods if you'd made the error?

It is, im sure if you had made an error some one would try to take advantage of it. go leave your keys on top of your car in the middle of manchester and see how long it takes for some one to take advantage

I disagree. It isn't right to take advantage. Just because people do doesn't make it right. It's another example of the 'want something for nothing' society that we live in.

IANAL, but is a website not the same as prices in a shop i.e. an offer to treat

If they dispatch, they can't ask for more money as they have implicitly entered into an agreement: if they tell you the price is wrong and offer to refund the money or sell the the correct price then they have done nothing wrong (unless all their prices are deliberately low to entice customers in before tapping them up for more money)

As far as I can see, it's the reverse of caveat emptor.

FWIW I agree with Ed. Two wrongs dont make a right. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander....hmmmm trying to think of other phrases...

But I have a question...

How many of you who are testing the waters with this mispriced item moaned and bitched about the politicians who were exploiting the loop holes in their expenses system (ignoring those who deliberately broke english laws)?

disco retreats behind a bloody big rock and awaits the barrage of responses but doesnt really cae cause he's off to the caribbean for two weeks.

(just playing devils advocate.

If I get 2 tyres for £30 I am not going to worry in the slightest , If I get a refund then so be it , maybe they had a good Christmas and felt generous and decided to flog them off at £15 a pop ................... I`m certainly not gonna let a load of people on a forum make me feel bad about it in the slightest . Never taken advantage of an offer at anytime in your life whatsoever ?
