Well it's 4 hours labour so £250 doesn't sound too bad with bits and the VAT added.
IMO i'd do everything else your self and do the clearances at the garage if your not sure. |

he also said that he'd prefer to have the bike overnight so he could do the clearances the next day when the bikes fully cold.

I hate to agree with the above but I have to, a 'Major service and valve clerances' for 250 really is a bargin. My 16k service cost about 360 looking at the reciept, usual parts and a whopping big chunk for the labour charge.
Found a nice independant mechanc now and sevicing costs have dropped by half or more |

spannerman on here quoted me aprrox £120 for parts and labor for the valves at 15000 and hes in surrey just off m3 so close for you london lot aswell.
