So run a chunky Flylead off the Positive and Negative to a roomier area then , and then run some sort of connection system off that for anything I want to add to it then and junk them ring connectors ?
And Bibio , it was only the one dodgy wire which was the result of a bit of stress on the loom from fitting an ABM comfort kit , the rest of the bike is sound electrically ....................................... so far ............ Gulp . |

Yeah, and remember when fusing stuff, fuse should be on live as close to supply (battery) as possible.

I will probably fit some sort of "Potted" system around it all with Silicone once done , you can buy small "Snappy" boxes from Maplins , I could drill holes for wires in that and thread them through and make the connections good , snap the box shut around the relay and then Pot the holes with Silicone and around the edge of the box as well where it seals . Or , sling a thick bag over it , cable tie the end of that around the wiring and pot that . |

Doesn't need that much, just don't have it outboard of frame, pointing forwards on a naked. Or it will die, no matter how much grease you slather it in!

It is going to hide behind the Rad on my Pointy where the OEM horn is , so will not be directly in the elements but will still need some sort of protection . I am going to undo the horn , plug the relay in place of that and then secure it afterwards once the rest of the wiring is done .
Some good advice there guys , just need things to be a bit less than Zero outside so I can get out there and do it . I`ll take a trip to Maplins tomorrow for bits and bobs ............ I`ll need some fairly hefty Gauge wire then for this ...... 14 16 ? |

I wrapped my relay in cloth then put it in a bag and tie wrapped it shut. My nautilus is beside my radiator and has been fine in all weathers

![]() I have read a post on Sv.rider.com about splitiing a Nautilus down into 2 parts. One half is the compressor, which can be split from the noise maker. Saves a lot of space. I'll try and find it

Here you are. He hasn't done a particularly neat job, but it does show that the horn can be split into 2, which makes siting it easier.

Well if the wiring for the OEM horn is moveable then I can sling the relay anywhere , I`m expecting it to have little movement though in true fashion . If you can split the Horn that would be ideal Maviczap , I can hide the compressor in the rear and run some airline to the horn .
