Partial to a 1/2 pizza supper or chips and cheese.

Pizza supper and chips if I am in company.

If its in Coatbrig I guess it should be accompanied by a bottle of wine. (Buckie attack-juice, natch)

I'm salivating.

While we're on the subject of suppers, is it just me or has the chippies started to get expensive all of a sudden?

Near me (city centre) it's getting scary money for a supper of any kind never mind supper. Over a fiver from some chippy's.

Try living in Aberdeen mate.
£6 is the usual.
Most over priced city in Scotland, for no reason apart from the oil.

Load of rubbish.

Sorry for the instant derail....carry on.
No it's not just the Scots that call it a fish supper, I used to get a fair few people asking for fish suppers when I used to run a chippy

Better quality? Yeah right! More likely that the smaller fillets are cheaper to buy than the bigger ones therefore they need to use 2. In my chippy the haddock was the same size a large cod, if you've got oily fish that generally means the person frying is rubbish at it! It'll be oily because either the oil wasn't hot enough or it was cooked about 15 minutes before you bought it.

All of which is washed down with IronBru and followed by a deep fried Mars Bar not forgetting the alternative choices of White Pudding,Red Pudding and Black Pudding with a big pickled onion out of thon jar

These being preceeded by a night on the lash,a bit of jigging at Baraland rounded of with a wee scrap
and followed by Pagan worship of the china idol, with the consequence of a sorry heid and the repetative vow of "Never again"

Little tip----Don't put the bits you haven't finished in your pocket and save them for breakfast
