Did he smoke rollies? I gave up years ago - was easier because I rolled my own and didn't much like normal fags. Unfortunately some of my close friends still smoke rollies and I get sorely tempted when I'm down the pub...

Rollies yep. And the odd normal cig if offered, tis only polite
![]() Would I be right in thinking it's easier to give up rollies than the normal fags? Is there not more rubbish and addictive chemicals in your average cigarette or is that a myth? I've never smoked btw, not even bothered trying. |

I've heard that rolling tobacco has more nicotine but the papers have less salt-peter - but this could be cobblers. Breaking the habit is still hard, as you get used to the act of rolling as well as smoking. If I still had to catch buses and trains everywhere I'd probably still be smoking.

Yeah, Lozzo mentioned somewhere about his eating satsumas whenever he feels like a smoke, so I guess then you've got the act of peeling the satsuma to substitute rolling. Chris is chewing lots of gum and eating more oranges lol.

Yeah......well done to Mr YC. Join the club.....been off them now for 3 weeks!!!! I have tested myself a few times by going outside with mates.......but I've so far really not been bothered. One day at a time!!!!
The hardest thing for me will be going biking.....as used to love my cig breaks when out riding.

It must be the time of year...
I quit 6 weeks ago. No problem at all, although I too am currently eating everything in sight. Well done all. |

something in cigarettes (both kinds) have appetite suppressants in them so you will naturally eat more when you quit.
