I stepped back into a car after two years of biking, before the biking, I was a mess and gave up, I got back in and felt absolutely great and my vision was second to none.

But you are right about the connection. I need time with those damn brakes, they are very sharp and my foot is used to my little rear brake on the SV! Clutch was nice though, and it had very smooth throttle response. Steering was neutral and light...but then its power assisted, so its cheating. Not like the old suzuki swift I learn't to drive in, that needed muscles ![]() Apparently, I'm not a bad road user. But I feel really quite scared in a car, its so big and heavy and I don;t feel like I;ve got any room to get out of the way Back on the SV tomorrow, wey heeeeyyyy |

Car's are easier than bikes to drive, just get in and then all you have to do is sit in the traffic jam for 3 hours until you go all "falling down".

I love both my car and my bike, equally.
The car is much better for long distance driving. Cruising down the motorways in a big comfy heated armchair with the stereo on. Great. But I'd much rather take the bike to work on my A/B road commute in any weather! And I certainly never take the car out on the weekends for fun! Good luck with your lessons mate. Gives you a much better option for those icy & snowy days. |
