well i rode bikes for a couple of years then got a car, but i learnt to drive when i was 13 so that prob helped.

yeah it does take a while but i think if your confident already on the road you shouldnt have a problem, the way i looked at was i was gonna do it, and keep doing it until i passed. like my bike test. its not to bad. best to get out the way now as they are only making it harder.

I'd had my full bike licence a couple of yrs before I did the intensive (crash) course. All you are doing is learning a new vehicle, you've already got the road sense.

Worked for me.
