Walk away and go and look at a few other bikes... that'll give you a better idea of what you are looking at. Personally you've said enough in this thread that would put me off buying it...

yea in reality its little things i think and the price is very very right. Would give me 700 quid to get it to the standard that the others i.ve seen

Problem with "Spending the money to get it as others I have seen" doesn't quite work. Normally in the process of doing the mods you find a load more faults and your budget is out the window.I would recomend you by one already at the standard you want,which is probably better looked after in the first place

thanks guys im just a bit crap with these things and need to bounce ideas off someone you see

i'll keep on looking. Think i need to look at something else as well. It was a fab bike but when i got home i said to our jars ' fast but it didnt excite. So i would end up killing myself. So any other ideas? Am old speed triple? Or am i buying a money sit?

I'd fancy a go on a ducati, triumph (triple, daytona etc.), gsxr, pretty much anything - there's loads of options (probably a few threads on here too).

The ones above may be a bit costly (less so maybe with the suzuki) but most bikes will cost you a bit more than the sv. You can get SRAD's for really good money considering what they are compared to the SV (600s are particularly cheap).
What's your price range?
