I'm off to London tmrw (from the midlands) for my first long-ish trip on my shiny red sv - I wanted to get into the storage to put a 12v cigarette lighter, which I now can.

Thanks again all.
Hey, we were all newbies once and some are still stupid, Sean and Dave take a bow , so don't sweat it Tom.

If you're living in the Midlands, then the Madlanders section might be of interest to you.

Safe journey tomorrow.

Welcome tomriggall, it's not that many months ago that the team at RIDE magazine did a short review of the SV all of their experience ?????? couldnt find it either and they returned the bike after testing still unopened, wont tell you what happened to me though you may laugh.
Enjoy the good humour, have fun.

Lol. Welcome to the forum mate. I'm pretty horrendous with bikes too.

I usually have more trouble clicking the damn seats back into place as oppose to removing 'em.

This thread has just helped me too, just bought a naked SV K1 for £500, and wondered how to fit some saddlebags. Thanks for saving me scratching my head for a few weeks!
