My bad, I confused things by stating A1.

What is the class for restricted A?

The only way you'll be able to get the restrictor for free is if you can convince the dealer that you are going for your restricted licence.

I've got a full license and on the back of the photo card is shows Category A

A1 is restricted, full license is just A.

A2 is 125 license, no L plates, no need to retake CBT every 2 years.... nobody does this one.

Internet suggests A1 is for upto 125cc only...strange, I always thought A1 was 33bhp too!

EDIT.

Mine says A on the back...with =< 25kw.

A2 is <33bhp... A1 is 125cc... swap the numbers about in my above post!

Patience my friend. No point cuttin the knackers off an SV if yer doin a DAS, extra expense and not worth it.

Get the damn test done, if you are raring to go. As I said yesterday..its all down to how you feel

Dunno about all this A1 A+ A that and the other...my license is full and has a nice big A stamped on it.
