Wuss!!

I actually find riding in rain fairly therapeutic. The only downside of rain is -

A) The increased volume of traffic on the road
B) Said traffic seemingly doing more rash and stupid manoeuvres than they would if it were drier and safer

I was quite tempted to sign up and comment on the article. But I don't think she deserves the attention and frankly it probably wouldn't help the cause!

And then she goes on about wind noise, and hot air coming out of the headrests to warm the neck, and hair getting messed up.

Horses for courses. Want to be warm, dry, have nice hair and be able to gas-bag in peace, get a normal car. Want hair like Wurzel Gummidge and all the boys to know you're cruising, get a convertible. Want to feel touched by the hand of God, even with top-box and panniers, get a bike!

Meh, I get this kind of stuff all the time in College.

"But what if it rains!?"

"Well then my gear gets wet"

*shock!* *horror!*

Kind of made me feel all happy inside when road works were about to begin on the way in one morning, and the lovely guys at the road works moved a barrier from the side so I could quickly zip past their truck and machinery whilst the sensible and dry fellows behind me had to find the long way round.

God bless road works!

T'was a country lane, although I suppose I could've pushed it through a field...
