Thats where I found mine caught me out a few times. Remember I said before about how much more reponsive the throttle is and that it took time to get used to it. Thats why

If anybody is interested heres the write up I did when I first got my 750. I dont know if its useful or not

That 2006 posting was really good. Did you get over the problems of the wrists, filtering, etc. that you mentioned? Did you do any touring on it and how did you find that as I would imagine that the bike was never designed with that in mind?

Yes I did, TBH its just a matter of getting used to it, unbolting the brake and clutch levers and rotating them around the bars so that they were set in a more comfortable position helped alot to. Filtering etc now I dont think about. I'd only had the bike a few weeks when I wrote that post.

I have done a bit of touring on it.

I've been to Ireland and Scotland on it. I rode from Loch Lommand all the way back to Somerset in one go on it. I've been to france as well on it.

Its not what it is meant for but IMHO it copes with ease with touring. OK its not as good as a full on tourer or something like a VFR does, but as long as I travel light and dont carry to much stuff its fine.

Out on it at the moment nice sunny day, dry roads lovely. Just stopped for a drink. it is another world in comparison to the Sv. It don't half shift I'm
glad I didn't buy one as my first bike.

Just gonna test it a bit more and see how it handles the country roads.

no!

after doing about 135 miles today im in love!

its an amazing bike, so easy to ride, took it through towns, country roads, and the duel carrageway.

it has crazy accelleration in the first few gears but it is also good for just knocking it up to 5 and 6 gear and cruising along.

no going bk for me. thought it would be a problem getting used to the il4, but there is none, power is just as available as it was on the sv.
