I changed from a XR1000 to a XR1100 the only bad thing i have found is that in heavy rain I have had water coming in to the inside of the visor due to the effectiveness of the visor vent. I will close it in heavy rain now.
I got a shiny black one from the Excel bike show for £250 which I thought was pretty fair.

![]() I haven't fitted the pinlock yet so had the front vent open as it was getting a bit misty! Apart from that it is brilliant. feels so much more stable than my old raid 2 when doing lifesavers at motorway speeds, although that may be something to do with the raid being a bit too big ![]() I got mine for £206 ![]() Anyone thinking about getting one...... Do it. Another bonus is that I ordered a non genuine dark visor from visor shops ebay store and they sent a genuine shoei one! £25! Result ![]() |

Monkey, it's considerably quieter than my old xr1000, alot of that I think is down to the beteer sealing visor. The visor vent is probably excessively effective, over 30mph with it open and it gets a bit blowy. You also get a little add on in the box for under your chin. During winter I had it on to keep warm. Took it off the other day and without it it's a bit blowy but not excessively like with the vent open. Still rate it very highly.

Got it from..........ahem ebay! For some reason, some dealer had a brand new one on auction that didn't reach what it was worth! Seen a few on there for £250 though

I got mine from racevisors and enquired about others as I heard the genuine shoei dark tint wasn't that dark. This was about 2 months ago so I guess things could have changed. The shoei dark tint is more than fine though. Because the of theself sealing visor it's probably a bit dodgy going aftermarket anyway as they are never perfects.

I was planning to buy the 1100 at the BMF as I wanted something quiet after my Caberg, but when I tried on both the 1100 and the 1000 I found the 1100 was a terrible fit. I'm an XS - well I am called Littlepeahead - and the 1000 was comfy and snug, whereas the 1100 moved up and down loads as I wiggled it at the chin guard. Only used the 1000 as a pillion so far and it feels great but I'll be fitting the Autocom this weekend and trying it when I finally get back on my own bike this weekend. I do miss the flip down sun visor of my Caberg though and it's a bu9ger applying lipstick on the move now I no longer have a flip front.
