I have had the following:

Halfords 50% extra
Halfords Extreme
Osram Silverstars
Osram Nightbrakers
Osram Night Racer (Replace the nightbreakers)
Philips x-treme

To be honest, they are all better than the std 45w bulbs that the curvey came with and in all honesty, there is VERY little dirfference between them, but nothing and i repeat nothing could prepare me for the difference that a HID kit makes. I bought and fitted a 35w HID kit (4500k) from HIDs Direct for £80 (HiLO kit 2 bulbs) and the difference is simply stunning. Not cheap, but after all the bulbs above, it seems cheap. It was a bit of a faff to fit, mainly finding a sensible place for the balasts.

The problem with the Curvey is that it just has a sh*t headlinght/lens. Not sure about the curvey though talking to treacle, he said that its better than the ZX10R!
