Gone for a Sony Walkman this time round and imo it out classes my brothers ipod in every way, especially sound quality that I been using before the Sony...

Thanks for the input. I wanted to see what else there is besides Ipods I wa aware that are quite limted, but also there is something else besides them as well.

Thoughts about this one it seems to average abiout 80% on reviews, the sounds is meant to be quite good, but doesnm't lossless formats is that a huge problem?

but I listen to all kinds of music, I like the idea of nosie cancelling I wish that was around when I used to travel a lot more than I do now.

itunes sucks ar$e...

how comes? i have itunes on my laptop, i put cd into computer, burn to itunes, drag and drop from itunes library into ipod. very simple. never had any bother with it what so ever.

Cant use it with other peoples computers or if you format your computer and reinstall itunes, it screws your ipod up. Deletes everything. A couple of updates broke my sisters touch, when asked in store at apple (by sister without me knowing about it unfortunately) they said that it was probably the PC... and that they wouldn't do anything (wtf is that for a service!?) so I went online and looked into it, managed to get it to update the software and it worked. My PC is one fine piece of equipment, dicks trying to shove the blame from themselves.

Thanks I had a look through the site, I have been to check out the Sony player is no 5 on the top list I liked it so I'm probally gonna get that one. Its easy to use and does what I want for a reasonable amount of money as well.

Cool. I think the sony sound quality is brilliant! I love mine to bits, battery life is also very reasonable mine is about 40 hours... It is so small its silly, and weighs practically nothing!

The drag and drop system works a treat, or you can just go into it and copy and paste. It all easy. Best of all, no iTunes!

itunes is the devil. How to turn your 21st century computer into a bloody antique 486 with one click of "install". Intrusive bloatware worse than AOL.

Will you just be using it as an MP3/MP4 player? I have an Archos 5 there are newer versions out now but its the mutz nutz. Film, music, games, i use it as my CCTV recorder as well.
