Great advice!!!
Last time I bought new ones just to get out of the hassle of fiddling with the old ones.... but they weren't cheap.
And need to get the screen off to work on the center light before inspection (your MOT) this month.

Of course me being the one to inspect it, I have a feeling it will pass whether I get the light sorted or not.

Loosely related but not worthy of a new post...

The panel that you remove to get at your bulbs has a metal thingy that allows you to hold the screw. I lost the left hand one when I was putting it back on after doing the screen and need to get a new one. But... what's it called? I would do a search for the bit but no idea what its called!

I have always called them panel nuts but not sure of the correct term.
Try having a look at rswww.com, they are a good source for things like that.

I ended up ripping my fingers apart. Nice new smoke screen with dark red blood effect.
Best advice for anyone, buy new groms about 5quid. Once you get the old knackered ones out - give yourself at least 5hours the new ones slip in a treat, ha i said slip in.

i know this sounds bonkers but has anyone made a vid of this, ive only passed my test a few months ago and just purchased a dark smoked screen, but nievely thought it was just remove 6 screws and replace, this sounds a bit more tricky now . thought it was like a 5 min job, how wrong was I.

Do I need to remove the plastic surround that covers the rear where the nuts are?????

Sorry for my stupedness I just dont wanna break or loose something

Mark
