Well i have spoke to 2 customers (both sprints) at the trumpet dealer where i bought mine with 08,09 bikes and they said theirs dont use any oil at all.
So i dont think its all triples, seems cos they are hand built there is a sporadic difference between them.

My Street is one of them, almost 8000miles and hasn't burnt a drop.

I would not have one of these motors after hearing problems.

Old ones are bad enough but at least they seem to stick to just a couple of problems which are well known

Haha what you talking here, 2 stroke with serious running problems?

Incorrectly fitted oil control rings, so it was about as thirsty as a 2 stroke but without any of the upsides.

Nasty but its a risk with hand built engines.
Hmm 2 stroke triple that would be a hoot, gp bike for the road

Even BP would scoff at the amount of oil I've been through

Switched from fully-synth 10w40 (recommended) to 10w50 semi, and it reduced consumption though.

It's not an issue as long as you watch it though. I've had cars that would take 5 litres per 1000 miles (Rover V8 )
