And of course you may have minor injuries that you might not feel until you wake up tomorrow.

Pass the details to your insurers and instruct them to ensure your bike/clothing/lid is returned or replaced to original condition as a no fault claim. After all, that's what you pay them for.

My suggestion.

Get you're bike checked over for damage and get an estimate for repair. If you don't want to approach your own insurers at the moment, or if you're only covered TPF&T, send the estimate to the other driver and ask him to pay. Give him a very short period of time to do this - from his attitude I'll be surpised if he co-operates.

If he does settle, report it to your insurers at next renewal as a non-fault accident and it shouldn't affect your future premium.

If he doesn't settle pass it to your insurers or find an accident management company to deal with it.

Sorry perhaps I wasnt as clear as I could have been. what I meant was:

The PCSO did in fact tell me exactly what you have mentioned above lone wolf. Turned out the PCSO was a biker him self. Three accidents made him give up biking but he totally understood the situation.

Very good point. He ran over my tyres though and not the rims???

I have been in your situation before although liability was slightly less clear cut so I just paid to fix it myself.

In your situation i would want to know If the damage was more serious, if it wasn't I would not persue and would just hope karma caught up with him eventually.
Again it's definately something to think about. Thanks. I do like Karma, but sometimes where humans can be a catalyst I think we ought to give Karma a hand.

Some top advice Juju. Sounds like some or all of it is from experience?

I guess it's not a total punishment...though if a person continually gets away with something without any consequences then they are unlikley to stop that action.

That's my line of thinking Biggles. I was thinking there is an implicit acceptance of blame in front of the PCSO.

Thanks TamSV. great advice.

Thanks to all for the good advice . I've obtained the paperwork from the police and have taken a few pics of the damage.

Hopefully this will be wrapped up very soon.

Brilliant

So maybe all the bad things I've done to people was just their bad Karma getting them back! I knew the ******** deserved it.

The PCSO didn't, he/she said NOT to accept this offer outside the insurer.

I would call your insurance company make sure he is all legal, your premiums should be affected too much, I crash in to a car in my car about 10 years ago at 10mph and rear to rear and caused over £1000 in damage.
