Mine to does it even with nice new hagon springs.
Did it a little the other day when i took the callipers off which reduced the noise but in 2 years its never bothered me and hasnt seemed to effect the bike in any way.

+1, however if you're a (insert rude word here) like me, you could have gone to the time and trouble putting a Gixer front end on, only to still have the *clonk*.

And when you do that......it is because you never tightened the lock nuts on the stem enough and you've got play in the headstock
