If you wanna be the BEST BROTHER EVER, you'll buy him one of these:

Seriously, a real plane would be cheaper than this!

I've found one on Amazon: Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Deluxe Edition (which is discounted from £40 to £19).

Any thoughts on this or any others?

And also a suitable joystick?

I know nothing of such things, so thanks in advance for all the advice .

Ts & Cs: Correspondence regarding individuals' joysticks will not be entered into.
Yorue gonna need to know the spec of his Pc for the really good ones.

lock on modern air combat is good, but you need a decent stick like one of those cyborgs or the well posh CH setups.

Good point. I'm not sure what the spec is, I'll have to check... Perhaps the Microsoft or the X Plane ones will be the best.

Thank you all!

Microsoft flight simulator is more of a game than the hardcore flight sims which can be pretty full on. I'd go for that if his computer isn't years and years old.

You've got a Brother?

Yes, something not too full on would suit him. He's not a hardcore gamer by any means. I found out today that the computer's only about 2 years old... so should be fine.
