Deffo sell it has it is, it's only worth breaking a bike if it has bad crash damage.
The postage can suck all the cash out of it.

i broke my curvy, a cat d, made over £2k on the bits on fleabay... mind you i did have corbin seat, bmc race filter, helibars, hagon shock and full akrapovic to sell

as a breakdown,

engine £400, collected
wheels £300 collected
front fairing bracket £100, posted
tank £50
front headlight £80

but, it's a lot of work

The problem with breaking it is you sell a few bits that are always in demand like levers and pedals very quick and are left with loads of stuff that no one wants.
Id just sell it as is for whatever you can get if you are going abroad.You dont need the hassle of breaking it.

What happens if you havent got it all sold by the time you go away? More hassle...
