Re: Ohlins shock servicing - where from?
I hope I can make it to East Fortune, but even if I get the bike back in time I'll most likely take the cage.
Thanks for the offer though |

Re: Ohlins shock servicing - where from?
Hmm...
I've emailed a few places and whilst most of them were happy to quote me ~£130, (K-tech was the only one below £100), one guy called me back asking why do I want to service the shock after 15k. His opinion was more or less: check it, if it ain't broken - don't fix it. So how is it with the service of aftermarket shocks? Is the mileage just a guideline or can you be sure that after it the shock will need a service. |

Re: Ohlins shock servicing - where from?
Aftermarket shocks are a lot better than OEM, finish inside body is hard anodise rather than plain... so much less metal crap getting into oil.
But, viscosity of oil breaks down with use just same.

Re: Ohlins shock servicing - where from?
i believe the falco, mille, tuono all cook the rear shocks and from most of the reports it would seem 15k is the usual millage the shocks goes off
