Don't think this info's going to help you Dan as bikes/riders will be different.
I either ride like a spaktard or have a knackered bike as mine averages around 110 miles until the light. Riding briskly sub 100-105 , riding as conservatively as possible 120-125.

I've had 156 before the light, and that was mostly done on a ride out the other week so wasn't even trying to be conservative! Twin spark more efficient?

I really don't know, speaking with TonyS on the way up to scotland made me feel sick he gets around 160 miles to his curvy tanks and he doesn't hang around I used to get between 70-100 on my old one! Then once up in scotland; when riding spiritedly with another pointy and a 1l bike I was without fail filling up more or less the same as the 1l bike - on average £4 more per refill than the other SV.

Guess it's down to rider, any performance bits on the bike and general state of repair.

Nope, it's down to how aerodynamic YOU are.

~140 miles to the first light for me, and then I can squeeze a little over 11 litres in. In theory that means 200 miles to a tank if I drained it dry.

chap at work gets over 70mpg from his 2006 Pointy, but then again he rides like Miss Daisy, don't suppose it's been over 6k!

Dan , I probably averaged 150 miles to a tank on combo roads, even had 170 a few times, never went below 125 even with thrashing it.

These days between 120 and 200 miles depending how it's ridden. Both of those extremes I had to put about 16L of fuel in. When out for fun I calculate stops at 140 miles where possible and end up putting about 13L in. Always brim the tank and reset the trip meter.
