5k car vs 5k bike round the 'Ring would be fun!

I know what my odds would be on.....

When he first started telling me about it I was giving it "oh right, yeah it sounds fast, nice one buddy" - FOOK ME.. THE FASTEST CAR I'VE BEEN IN.
<Pedant mode on> Unless it was an old S4, it owuldnt have had a turbo in the 1st place. The v6 one used to run a turbo, but the new S4's are normaly aspirated (4.2v and it was a V6, then it couldnt have had an RS4 clutch <pedant mode off> *Goes n hides*

Im off down to Dunsfold track this weekend funny enough )

^ Easy for a bike to beat a cheap pinto westie at the Ring!

A good one or R caterham may be a slightly different matter, but they cost more than 5k.

it was the 2.7(?) v6 one - I'll see if I can find the spec list for it on the SRS forums. Not saying it came with an rs4 clutch but it had some kind of rs4 clutch trickery to it (the rs4 clutch springs with uprated plates? it's all a little bit beyond me tbh).

Honestly, it's the one car I looked at and thought "hmmm it's a load of hype" - the fastest car I've ever been in I swear, I've driven a rally spec evo (old one) on a driving day and that was rapid but this s4 is out of this world. I'll see if we can get hold of it to do a video (and then go to prison for it lol)..

Go buy a GSXR1100 for a grand. Spend £500 putting a bodgerama blow-through turbo on it and maybe (big maybe) a longer swingarm.

Hello 300bhp. Bye bye car!

Spend £6k on that sort of tackle, strengthened engine parts, maybe water injection or a sniff of gas... there won't be a car out there to go anywhere near it in terms of acceleration.

If anyone's interested in a bloody fast car for £5K, a mate of mine is selling his 1998 BMW Alpina B10 V8 (a very heavily upgraded 5 series for those who don't know). It's fast... stupidly fast, it handles and stops like a sports car, yet feels like a gentelman's club inside with leather and walnut trimmings. Previously owned by Frank Sytner himself as his company car, it's got the highest available spec you could have on that model. I dare say it would show many litrebikes the way round some twisty A roads

No, not my cup of tea TBH. You would never see any of the power except on a massively long straight, then you'd get banned.

I think my next project will be to build something very weird.
