The Crossrunner seems more interesting than the rest of the bland 2011 designs, but I think the VFR800 is still the better option from Honda. Although if I was thinking of a crossrunner type bike that can do the adventure thing better I'd probably just go out and get a KTM Adventure or SMT or similar (on the cards)

It seems to me that Honda has lost touch with the market. They're still a reactionary company and not a strategic one (like in the past years). They simply react to what the other manufacturers are doing, not creating some new products themselves. While there is nothing wrong with replicating it as long as there are improvements, it is not ok to replicate without improvements. And for every product of biking interest they have, there is another company producing a better, cheaper one.
I really feel like they're missing a lot of opportunities and burying themselves deeper and deeper and deeper...

I agree and also think they've lost their way.

Just look at the glorious models we used to get:
RVF400
VFR SP1 and SP2
NSR400
VF1000R

They were special and are still lusted over now. They were know for legendary build quality and attention to detail.

Now it seems they are releasing bikes in every conceivable niche *except* the bikes we actually want.

They have designed a VFR1200 bucket of lard that no one wanted (and it could be argued is the biggest let down from the marketing side of things ever) and designed it to appeal to "Gentlemen of a certain age". They then transfer that questionable styling to the new CBR600F release which is a Hornet with a fairing (because they didn't have one of those in the range) and disasterously to the CBR125 which "Gentlemen of a certain age" have absolutely no interest in. However, teenagers do and the styling just doesn't cut it.

If you were 17 would you rather have this ugly duckling...

or this...

The thing is, Aprilia have also spoiled Honda's party with the bike that *everyone* wanted Honda to make which is a V4 Sports bike..

Sorry Honda, You (quite unbeliveably) missed the boat, and ironically launched one instead....

Exactly

Aprilia have hit the nail on the head and the RS125 looks the mutts, there was nothing wrong with the styling of the old CBR125 Honda currently have no stock of CBR125's im led to believe because they sell so well and now there wont be any more till the 2011 model comes out

Wow! Disappointed! What is with that new headlight on the CBR125?? It's rank! Noticed it on the CBR600F too and I think it is horrible.

My RR is much prettier.

Sorry but they don't turn my props. Nothing like the NSR250R I used to have - now that was fun!

The cbr600f looks like a nice safe bike but the rest are pretty poo.

Honda seem to be going the way of peugeot at the end of the 90's... building boring safe vehicles. Peugeot lost the plot after the 205/106/306 years, they were fun awesome handling cars that looked good in their day, the 205 still is good looking. Honda are building boring fugly things that are the equivilant of the 307 and 407 now days.
