Not any more, it got destroyed last winter when I washed the bloody thing leaving it open to corrosion.

I think you've misdiagnosed that Lozzo, it's not washing it and leaving it open to corrosion that's the problem, it's just 'cos you washed it and it got wet!

Well my 16 year old ZZR still looks respectable, despite winter use. OK so all the steel bits have been replaced, but other than down pipoes and fasteners the Kwaks ain't any worse than say...ooooh...Suzuki?

back on topic - ACF50 before the salt goes down and then leave it. Occasionally rinse with cold water, paying attention to the brakes in particular. I always service my brakes every 4k anyway, so I've not suffered from sticky calipers (although granted the brakes are off a fireblade now for extra stopping power)

a workmate has sorted his winterisation, its in his lounge had to laugh when he showed me the pic on his phone. must stink the lounge out tho

Drain the tank, oil, brake fluid, Clean every inch of it, take the battery out, cover it up. uncover every couple of weeks to stare.. sit on it when i have a smoke.. and repeat till spring.. ive ridden 4 winters end to end, ive done my time lol
