the 2 main ones were the S4 & Superduke (18k & 14k, respectively), but looking back at my records it's not even close to my 2003 total, 201 miles a day average.
Cheers Mark

This year there were 301 days in the saddle for a total of 182,461km in 2437hrs. Of that total 84,622km was on gravel and desert tracks. The average looks fairly high, but counting only days over 1000km there were 90,916km travelled in 56 days (spread throughout the year) and a further 69 consecutive days riding a dirt loop for another 49353km. A "normal" day was about 400km. Nearly all of it was work.
The bike consumed 12,706 litres of fuel, 104 litres of engine oil and 61 tyres. Last edited by MattCollins; 30-12-10 at 10:59 AM. |

the trip back from glossop on the Superduke was a nightmare to be honest Andy, it's not a bike that takes a tired rider well, just to intense, having done some long rides on the thing I'd have to plan very carefully the route and stops to enjoy all of it, awesome bike, but it's as single minded as anything you could think of, the S4 on the other hand is half the awesomeness but has the ability to turn it off and become a pussy cat when you need it to, so swings & roundabouts

Sh!t thats a lot of miles you must have done nowt but ride.
I had my worst year with my broke back ride home I had two straight months in bed (lowest point of my life crappin in bed cos I couldn't move fast enough) 4650 miles this year but six months off healing kept it down and the SV will not be seeing any more miles so it's up to the S4 now. only got 12.000 on so far baby up to yours Mark eh? About 6000 on the Tiger since purchase in May, 2000 on the bike course over five weeks.
In other words, not enough. I had planned a trip up the West coast of Scotland this year, but GMP and their blasted bike course - another course I HAD to attend - got in the way! Shame... Next year, there's always next year. Pete ![]() |
