That reservoir looks very close to the battery. Make sure there is no contact and wear, otherwise it could be carnage.
I am super suspicious of batteries after seeing what happened to a mates brand new (300 miles) limited edition GSXR 600 when his battery leaked over the rear shock and swing arm. CARANGE. |

Yeh it is very very close. Am also unsure about that.
Might end up buying a smaller battery but wanted to see if a) it was worth worrying about b) there are any solutions to the problem other than replacing the battery. Will keep an eye on it. Does anyone have any recommended smaller batteries? |

I'd try and see if a different shape battery would fit, I think someone ran a CB500 battery on a curvy after a ZX6 swap Edit: Was mister c http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=113667

I'm in a similar situation with a ZX10 swap on a curvy. I'm buying a battery tray to hang off the subframe.
It could be worth speaking to Lozzo or Rai86 to see how it was done.

similar issue for me with a 750 shock on a curvy. Ive spaced my battery tray mounting with some ally spacers and longer bolts for the short term as the reservoir is pretty big on that shock.
Ive put a rectangle of polistyrene between battery and reservoir for the time being, but a thinner battery, for me looks to be the ultimate fix (without buying hagon or similar shock ![]() |
