I knocked off a cyclist with no lights who went through a red light straight into my o/s front wing at 1 in the morning.

I took the little brat home to make sure he got there ok, had a rant at his parents and next day took the estimate for new wing/bonnet to his home. As you can guess they refused to pay. so now I think all law breaking cyclists legitimate targets for dave P acts of violence.

According to my mother, the first time I was ever in trouble with plod was when I put a brush handle through the front spokes of a kids bike who was riding on the pavement. Still I was only 18 months old at the time and knew he was being naughty so I stopped him. BTW, he was the local coppers lad.

blimey so casual ironic racism is ok over in ralph's thread, but for pootling up an empty footpath at walking pace I'm the scum of the earth....

I bet your views would be different if my skin was a different colour.... say, yellow, like the simpsons?

I was almost taken off the sv by a cyclist while i was turning left in the left hand lane etc at a round about, he tried to ride straight ahead on my left (inside) as i was turning left. I wasnt best pleased!

I used to moan about cyclists and their habits with my holier than thou attitude - till I had to ride across the city in rush hour after taking my car for service - I started off rding as if on my m/bike and obeying all lights and directions, after 10 mins that had gone out the window and I was doing the same as every other cyclist you see. Although I like to think, in a much better way haha No pavement riding though.

If you want an example of a truly mental cyclist, have a look at these videos. The chap is the most angry and hypocritical knob-end I have ever seen, shouting at motorists whilst riding through red lights etc.

so there's motorised road users who think cyclists shouldn't be on the road, then there's other road users who are also pedestrians who think I shouldn't be on the pavement - I just want to stop being fat! leave me alone!

I woudlnt worry about it Paul, theres always people willing to generalise and sterotype. No surprise when occasionally its directed at cyclists. Just ignore it.

As for cycling on the pavement, personally I dont. I cant be assed dealing with lemming like pedestrians, I'd rather take my chances on the road TBH.

I've even been shouted at whilst riding on a cycle path before, with some people you cant just win and its not worth getting into an argument. Just make sure you are squeaky clean in what you are doing and then nobody can have a pop at you.
