LOL it was posted as a light hearted joke ill be taking this home tonight to have a bit more of a play, I dont mind android its all right, its just people think that the apple iOS can't be opened up to do what the hell you want with it and it can, and I can honestly say now after playing with this most of the day I wouldn't swap it for my ipad.

My point and anti-apple stance is that you shouldn't HAVE to crack something to make it useable. (says the guy that just cracked a PS3)

My android phone is cracked, as is my PSP and my old PS2

But I didn't HAVE to do this to any of those devices to have them do what I want them to.

It's all well and good for the likes of you, and I, to hack and crack stuff to do what we want, but the general flock of of Apple sheeple just buy because of the "shiny" factor, and NOT because its the best tool for their needs, and frankly should never be let near a jail-breaking/hacking app.

I am on record as saying that I LIKE a lot of Apples kit, but I just won't buy into the hype.

As for Tablets - well thats another great Apple thing - inventing a "need" for a device that frankly, is next to pointless - I have access to a number of tablets through work, borrowed one, took it home, installed Angry Birds and that was as much as it was used for... I have OTHER devices that do everything a tablet does, and each does each function better.

Yes but it does do what most people want out the box why do you think they have sold millions upon millions and lets be honest its not all down to people being sheep or because its shiny coz that's just boll-ox, its because it works and it works well its user friendly from the device side of things i admit itunes can be a bit tricky at first but the content available is amazing there's no denying it, there anit many developers making dedicated apps for the android Tabs whereas the ipad has lots of developers and thousands of native tablet apps.
If my mum turned round to me and said oi sunbeam, I fancy one of them tablet things I would tell her to get the the ipad for the above reasons and because i know its got the most to offer for her money.
And I know after an hour on the pc with her she would be fine with itunes
I wouldn't even bother cracking it I would just let her be.

If you want a tablet for just general web browsing then I would say get a mediocre android model but if you want anything more as it stands imo the ipad is the way to go as the android tablets just done cut it.

on the other hand if she asked for a smart phone I would point her to a cheapish android phone as it would suite her needs but I myself still use iphones I'm on the iphone4 atm previous to that was my 3g and before that it was the original iphone not that i haven't had experience with other phones just at the time these was the best options for me.

For some people tablets might not fit into their life but for me it does, I will be here all night if I said what I use mine for but it just fits and the 10 hours battery life is a big bonus for me.
I don't see it as laptop replacement either its a totally different piece of equipment people that say "I would rather have a net book it does more but and cost half the price".
these people don't know what the fcck there talking about as they clearly have not owned one or if they have there clueless to its potential and shouldn't be allowed near any technology.

at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion on things but it does my head in when people post stupid remarks about hardware and i bet half of them probably haven't even got a clue about technology or what they are talking about and I'm not on about in this thread I see it all the time not just on here either.

I'm not a fan boy either I'm a technology enthusiast its my hobby I like all technology from all manufactures and developers and love how fast technology keeps developing without competition this wouldn't happen.
I would never buy a mac as I'm a hardcore gamer and build my own rigs for my needs, I own 1000's of pounds worth of equipment from xbox 360's ps3's Tv's hand helds / mobile phones Pc's laptops net books amps / speakers ect ect and I enjoy taking them all to bits putting them back together and making them work the way I want.

LOL the thread was posted for joke but I can honestly say if paid £450.00 for this Samsung tablet I would be really disappointed your getting more for your money buying an ipad at an extra £50 than you are buying this, really unimpressed hopefully this year will bring some better android tablets with the new Honeycomb but the galaxy tab gets a big thumbs down from me.
