My eyes water easily as well, something to do with deep cupping of the eyes according to the optician.

I have an AGV stealth helmet with pull down sun visor and it stops it happening as well when the main visor is up

Cheap shades for the sunlight (yeah it's here!) do the trick, I guess there is a price to pay for total face freedom though

open faced helmet & goggles , personally I prefer the ability to see to the minimal annoyance a visor can sometimes cause, won't be long before we hear about how restrictive gloves are or can't be bothered with full bike gear so ride in jeans, each to their own I suppose, but really sometime I amazed at others abilities to make riding more dangerous.

I wouldn't have the balls to wear open face because I want chin protection.

I'm usually visor down for many of the reasons mentioned here, but can't even have quick bimbles around town with visor up without the start of some waterworks. Wouldn't even consider/want to do more than 30mph with visor up anyway.

i wear a moto x helmet and goggles to bimble around the villages, might look daft but who cares.
i do however wear a full face for more spirited riding.

practice! i found i had it when I used to do go-karts but slowly got used to it so they didnt stream as much, now I can do just above 50mph with out having to worry.
Air temp also effects it, winter months see my resistance drop back down to 40ish but come the warmer weather and 50isnt a problem visor up or down.

I get it bad too. My eyes flood with just the slightest wind, even when I'm not on the bike. It's really annoying.

On the bike I just keep the visor shut and if it steams up just open it one click. Like owenski says temperature makes a huge difference. Riding in summer it doesn't really bother me

Maybe you could get one of those screens with little spoilers on the top to deflect the wind

If you put a piece of bread under your top lip it can help stop your eyes watering when you peel onions. Try fashioning some goggles from a piece of thick white wonder loaf and see it if it works for you.

I ride with my visor slightly open, unless on a motorway.
I got proper watery eyes today, up and over the tops where it was full of freaky weather rain and wind, where everywhere else was sunny. Almost had a disaster mascara/eyeliner disaster!!!!

All on top of a great big rain drop that flung in my visor right in the middle of me specs

Not for me - I've got my visor shut (locked down in the nationals) unless I'm practically stationary, but I've always got the chin vent open for air up front.
